2026年3月9日より1週間の予定でタイ・ワライラック大学の獣医学部3年次/4年次の学生が日本大学生物資源科学部獣医学科に実習に来ています。
初日のオリエンテーションを終えて、2日目はラボラトリー研修として獣医生理学研究室として、基礎循環器生理学の実習を行いました。自身の心音の確認から、オシロメトリック法を用いた血圧の測定の原理の理解、心電図による電気的心軸の評価といった循環器生理学を学ぶうえで基礎となる項目を実際に体験しました。
みなさん非常に熱心で、中学年でありながらすでに臨床的な知見も持ち合わせており、日本も負けてられないなと感じる一日でした。
これから他国の学生との交流も多くなります。こういった国際交流が未来への架け橋になることを楽しみにしています。
From March 9, 2026, third- and fourth-year veterinary students from Walailak University in Thailand are visiting the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Nihon University, College of Bioresource Sciences, for a one-week internship.
Following the first day’s orientation, Day 2 was dedicated to laboratory training at the Laboratory of Veterinary Physiology. The curriculum focused on the fundamentals of cardiovascular physiology. Students engaged in hands-on activities, including listening to their own heart sounds, understanding the principles of blood pressure measurement using the oscillometric method, and evaluating the mean electrical axis through electrocardiography (ECG).
The students demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm and already possessed significant clinical knowledge despite being in their middle years of study. It was a truly inspiring day that reminded us to stay motivated and continue striving for excellence.
As opportunities for interaction with international students increase, we look forward to these exchanges serving as a bridge to a bright future.
